Update: The young great tit has now left the balcony and is (happily?) flying around in the neighbours' garden. Apparently.


Today, a young great tit (parus major) flew against the balcony door, which my mother heard. She picked it up, at first afraid it would be dying, but it was (and is) still alive. It's now hanging around the balcony, probably recovering from the shock. I'll update if there's something new to say about it.
